Because this is my first 'Thrifted Goods' post it's way longer than my future 'Thrifted Goods'. I think. It'll only be a long post if there's a story worth telling, he he! I'm going to start off with the best purchase I made. THE BOOTS! *Hallelujah Chorus* This past week I went to 2 thrift stores. The first one was a new one in Tolleson, AZ. I don't recall the name, sorry! I wasn't planning on purchasing anything! Fernando and I happened to stop by while we were browsing for photo spots. The location is so tiny and honestly, I didn't think I was going to find anything of my taste. I was only there to 'look'. Then suddenly I got to the shoe section and I eyed the fold over part of the boots (because of the studs of course!) right away I asked the lady how much she was selling them for. She hollers "oh, 2 dollars!" My eyes got wide and I gripped them. I HAD TO TAKE THEM! I mean, $2.00 for Gianni Bini boots? How in the world could I leave them. By the look of them I knew they were my size. I searched online and the original price is $129.99 Now that's a smokin' hot deal! Once I was ready to pay for the boots the lady told me that they only accepted debit with a $5.00 or more purchase so I had to get some other stuff. Might as well, right? ha ha! They don't have a wide selection on clothes since they recently opened so the two items I chose were picture #3 and #4. I'm all for prints and collars this fall and I don't mind my shirts being a little loose fitted. That print was so different, part of the reason why I chose it. I told myself that I would add some more color to my closet so when I saw this cardigan I thought it was a good combination of stripes (which I really do like!) and a pretty coral color! On Friday my mom and I planned on going to 'Purpose Thrift Boutique' because it was the gran opening! Plus a 25% off on your most expensive purchase. As we walked in we were greeted by the owners and I was very surprised to see that the stuff they sell there is a variety of things! I mean, very modern home decorations to cool vintage clothing and furniture! Plus it actually smelled really good in there! ha ha, not your usual Goodwill odor. Right away I picked out the Nautical Sweater, it said 'Steff' all over it! and it's brand new, it even had the tag still. I've been looking for more flowy and fresh dresses so when I felt the fabric of that dress on picture #2 I thought it was a good buy. Plus, I really liked the fact that it came with a little waist tie, so it's not just straight, it actually accentuates your waist. Like I said, they have a lot of home decor at 'Purpose' and that flower drawing was the cutest drawing I've ever seen! I love how it's drawn in pen and the flowers are placed in a mason jar. It was actually a gift to some fellow named Anthony from a girl named Shirley, who happened to be the artist. There's a hand written note on the back of the frame, such a special gift! Shoot, if I were an artist I'd be giving out my work in frames as a gift too! The note says "Anthony, Remember all of our good times we've had and I really hope you find happiness in Arizona. I will be out to see you. Love, Shirley" How sweet is that? Stuff of that sort makes me wonder about people. Why would he get rid of such a personal gift? Who knows! Anthony, I have Shirley's drawing now and I'll take really good care of it. I'm planning on spray painting the frame so it could match my bedroom. Originally I was going to buy another frame for it but I felt bad for Shirley. HA HA HA! So, Shirley's handwriting shall stay. If you live in the area check out these new thrift stores! :)  -Steff
