Floral Hippie & An Unforeseen Casual-wear

This is so sweet! A magazine PLUS a CD of Indie Classics.

I dont know about you but I always change at least twice a day. Especially if (like today) I have school, then plans to go out later on in the afternoon. I'm the type to dress depending on my mood and a lot of that has to do with what I'm listening to as I'm getting ready. It's so true when they say that music is powerful and a big influence to many. I believe that 100% I can be listening to something up beat and playful (think Marina and the Diamonds-ish) then I end up wearing more color, girly accessories, and most likely leave the house in a dress or skirt. It's as if the clothes reflect the lyrics and the electric/acoustic guitars, or that melodious piano. I honestly wouldn't know what to call my 'style' because I'm influenced and fascinated by so many different kinds. I've been asked that question before and the very next day it's a whole different ball game for me, ha ha! These pictures are proof. I Had a great college day with the guys, wore a very floral outfit. I was actually in a hurry and grabbed the first thing I found to put over my spaghetti strap, he he! That crochet flower vest has been an outfit saver for years now. Being that it was my mothers, it's gone through a great amount of use and not planning on disowning it any time soon. My black and beige floral skirt was my grandmama's I own so many of her skirts it's ridiculous but I love skirts. It's like freedom for my legs. Oh boy, and those boots. Yes, their BIG, brown, and CHUNKY.... I get like a 90's ankle boot fever when I wear those. I don't know how else to explain it, maybe you have to try some on, ha ha! And guess what I was listening to that morning. Jeff Buckley! There's my 90's influence, no wonder I grabbed those Chunky boots. You see what I'm saying? ha ha. Anyways, I had eyed them one day and a very dear family friend of mine gave them to me as a gift. How sweet is that?! I couldn't have been happier that day, I love all kinds of boots and I'm planning on owning all kinds of different pairs. Like a collection :)  Later on in my day I had a hang out date with one of my best friends, Jacqueline. I changed into something more casual like my thrifted (Goodwill) Gloria Vanderbilt striped blouse, which I was kidding about, saying I looked like a pizza delivery girl, ha ha! I guess it's the stripes and little red zipper pocket that made me think of that when I looked at myself in the mirror. I still really like it though, it was just my first thought. My purse is thrifted as well from a little vintage shop in Phoenix, AZ. Very 4th of July dont ya think? It was practically brand new! Pants are from Faded Glory, you know, a Wal-Mart brand. That outfit was way more flexible and I added a bit of an edge to it with my black Deena & Ozzy Studded Flatform Sandals. Any of you not fond about heels? Then I have good news for you! The flatform is for you, that's your heel. Trust me, you wont even feel the height and you walk like a pro. Those shoes are my best splurge and most favorite sandals this summer. I purchased them at Urban Outfitters for $19.99!!! As you could see in the website, they're $59.00 freakin' dollars. Um, no thank you. Ha ha! If you're interested in purchasing them in black for a starting bid of $19.99 I'm not kidding, here's a place where you can! I highly recommend them, their comfy, flashy, and the studs just make the sandal complete. Check out the pictures

Lots of thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this! Feel free to comment, or ask me any questions. Have a wonderful day/night wherever you are :)  - Steff
